Just as big as your brothers

Dear Henry...

I had the biggest laugh this morning looking at this picture of you and your brothers.  You try to be just as big and bad as your big brothers.  I love your face in this picture.  I can almost hear you saying "Yes, and it was so much fun, can we do it again?"

There is such an attraction of boys to mud and I'm glad you have built in playmates .  Your brothers love to build, make bridges, forts, hills and mud mountains.  I love that you are fearless and yet it just means that your Diva is going to really have to pray extra hard for "my littlest angel" .

This picture would make a good ad for laundry detergent .  Praise the Lord for soap and water.  I am so glad little things make you happy.

What does the Bible say about mud? In the second creation story in Genesis, God fashions Adam “out of the clay (mud) of the ground” (Gen.  2:7)  It is my hope and prayer that you will always be creative and love Jesus with your whole heart.

We love you and pray for you every day.

XOXO   your Diva

Snow Days and Snow Men

Dear Henry....

Happy Snow Day.   Snow days mean no school and Mommy and Oscar can stay home and play with you and Charlie.  Snow days means drinking hot chocolate in your favorite flannel pajamas and watching the snow flakes fall .  Snow day are like having an extra Saturday added to your week.  This year you have had two weeks of Snow days.

Snow days means Daddy can work from home.  Snow days means watching movies and doing fun things with the snow both inside and outside.

Snow days means grabbing  your hats, coats gloves, boots  and going outside in the snow to make snow angels, snowmen, forts, snowballs for throwing or  just eating the fresh fallen snow.

Daddy makes the best snowman.  He knows how to pack the snow to make a good base so it won't fall over.  Mommy helps give the snow man his "fashion flair" .  Mr Snowman is very happy and greets everyone who comes by the house.

On days when it is too cold to go outside in the snow your Mommy and Daddy bring the snow inside to you.  How special is that ?  You can build a snowman in the bathtub and still stay toasty warm.  No need for bulky coats, gloves and hats .  He is quite a bit smaller than the outside snowman but he is still very cute and when he melts away clean up is really easy.

Not only was this a fun way to stay warm and build a snowman but you also learned that cats are curious about snow but they definitely do not like being in it.  Good observation my little scientist!

You are growing up so fast Henry.  You are curious about everything and try so hard to keep up with your brothers.  Know that we miss you and pray for you every day.  Diva is looking forward to some spring weather.  See you soon.

Happy Potatoe Head Birthday Henry!

Dearest Henry,

What fun Poppa and I had at your two year old Mr. Potato Head Birthday party.  I'm not sure what was the most fun....watching you open gifts or decorate your cookies.

You got a Mr. Potato Head for Christmas and Mommy noticed it was your favorite gift.  So she worked her Mommy Magic and made you a Mr. Potato Head Party complete with shirts, gifts, wall hangings and Diva and Poppa.  Diva had the most fun ever and am hoping I get a Mrs. Potato Head for Mother's Day.  (Would you be a dear and remind Mommy?)

Every one decorated cookies.  You and your brothers liked making aliens with lots of eyes.  Diva made a diva look alike  cookie. What do you think.  Does it look like Diva?

Mommy had some sugar cookies that we decided to decorate to look like a potato head.  Even Poppa got into decorating a cookie.  You liked eating the decorations more than making faces.  Diva even made an angry kitty cookie.  Oz liked using the black frosting and putting on lots of alien eyes.  His teeth turned black when he ate the cookie.

You still remembered how to blow out the candle.  I love your little puffy cheeks ready to blow.  You had lots of help blowing out the 2 year old candle from your brothers.

Here's the finished Potato head cookies we made

No smash cake for you ....you went in for a giant two year old boy bite!

The Smile says it all....you had a blast!

Mr. Potato Head added a wife and son to the Tater family.

We celebrated two birthdays.  Poppa also had a birthday.  It was a big birthday.  He was 65.  All of us  wore plastic glasses, big noses and mustaches to look like Poppa. Imitation is the highest form of flattery so we all wanted to look just like him.   He loved having you and your brothers sing Happy Birthday to him.  I hope we can be at all your birthdays as they are always so much fun.

You are growing up so quickly.  You love doing puzzles and like doing the things your big brothers do.  Don't grow up to quickly....I don't want to miss anything.

We love you and pray for you every single day.

My big boy

Dear Henry....

Diva got to spend a few days with you and Charlie Bear while your Daddy was out of town.  We had so much fun.  We played cars, worked puzzles, watched Handy Manny, made valentines, colored, read books, played games and sang silly songs.

You are growing up so quickly.  It seems like just yesterday you were a baby and now you act just as big as your brothers.

I love your blonde hair.  Your uncle Andy had blonde hair as a little guy.  Your grandmother told me that your daddy had blonde hair as a child also.  Everyone thinks you will be the boy most like your Dad.

Just know my sweet boy that you have awesome parents that love you so very much as well as 4 grandparents that pray for you and your brothers every day.

Stay sweet and don't grow till I come back.

Your Diva
